Every loaf we bake is a chance to spread small seeds of joy and health to you and our community. That's why we bake with so much care (and have so much fun in the process). Our goal is to make simple, high quality bread that you'd want to eat even if it wasn't doing good for your community. (But it is.)

Blue Seed bread is baked fresh following an artisan process with minimal ingredients, including all Canadian sourced, never-bleached bread flours, with no treatments or additives. Local organic, stone ground, and whole grain flours feature throughout our menu -- the difference these details make to taste and texture is incredible.

 

Everything we make features our own sourdough leaven; and many of our doughs are long and cold fermented for extra amazingness. Flavour and intensity varies by loaf, from the more traditional sourdough profile of our ovals and boules, to the milder taste of our rustic sandwich loaves (gotta let those sandwich toppings have some glory, after all!). All of our breads are great as is, as toast, in a sandwich, with soup or chili, or however you choose to eat.

While none of our breads include nuts or soy, we can't claim to be entirely nut or soy free. If you have questions about our ingredients or baking process, just ask!
